Alright, sneakerheads, time to dig deep into your pockets – real deep – because the brand new ZX Flux collection by adidas Originals has arrived. The collection this season is a reincarnation of the iconic ZX8000 that retains its predecessor’s much-loved heel cage, built with Torsion tooling, and a new range of exciting colourways and styles, prints and woven patterns.
Here’s the lowdown on what to expect from the adidas Originals ZX Flux FW ’14 collection.
First up is the ZX Flux Base Pack for fans who prefer the simple yet classical look. There’s a 2-tone mesh upper and welded TPU 3-Stripes execution packed together with a stripped back modern design that’s inspired by the ZX8000 in bright red or cobalt blue, and balanced with the midsole’s colour blocking style of black and white.
If you’re one who prefers a little colour in every step you take, the versatile ZX Flux Reflective Snake Print Pack is yours for the taking. Subtle yet outstanding at the same time, the snakeskin print once featured on the Superstar and Americana trainers makes a comeback on this ZX Flux edition. Its upper features three layers that overall create a reptilian effect: a reflective print, followed by a mesh overlay for a slightly muted but texturised feel, before wrapping it all up neatly with a synthetic base. Like a cherry on top of the icing, the complementary neon colours are showcased effortlessly on the distinctive heel cage, sock-liner and embroidered tongue tag.
Last but not least, for the fashionably audacious ones, the ZX Flux Print Pack is made with your reputative style in mind. This series features gutsy prints with photo-real colours and digitally yet vivdly printed upper made of satin. And in the midst of all the beautiful commotion, there are the signature 3-Stripes in bold berry accents to juxtapose the leopard print, and minimalistic black ones for the watercolour print.
The adidas Originals ZX Flux FW ’14 collection is now available at the adidas Originals concept stores at Mid Valley Mega Mall, Pavilion KL, KLCC and Berjaya Times Square, retailing at RM340 each.
