The moment is here and the anticipation is very high. Ever since the announcement of an Alexander Wang and H&M collaborative collection, all the struggle fashion peeps (us included) have been biting our nails to see what designs would be spawned by the two brands. Well, it did not disappoint.
With 23 pieces for men and 38 for women plus accessories that range from the dope to the ummm wtf?, we gotta say the collection is actually pretty fire. Vibing heavily on that health goth vibe (the new street goth look), the collection features a lot of outerwear with a diver-influenced silhouettes. We really dig the men’s range especially the reflective silver down hooded jacket with side ventilation zips and the black tech hooded parka with Wang’s signature black-on-black webbing zipper pulls as well as a detachable puffy vest. The women’s range are equal amounts of flames with the tank tops and crop tops, scuba dress with interwoven layers and a cut out at the waist with mixed fabrics, panelled leggings featuring hounds tooth jacquard pattern with stretch silver reflective, and water-repellent parka with molded hood curved like a baseball cap. And since this is fashion we’re talking about, the accessories that come with them include yoga mats, water bottles, towels, sunglasses with an oversized head strap, swim goggles, a whistle on a two-finger ring, a trophy cup, and even a pair of boxing gloves.
Pack your bags, bring your friends and stock some snacks as you inevitably queue up for the line that will be waiting when the Alexander Wang x H&M Collection drops at H&M Lot 10, Bukit Bintang on Thursday 6 November ’14.
