A quick browse through Benjarat’s work and you will notice the recurring use of ordinary creatures from nature. To Ben, these motifs give an instantly recognisable image while being neutral enough a concept that leaves a lot of room for personal perspective and interpretation based on the observer’s own view on things.

The Bangkok based illustrator and graphic designer interestingly lists Motown sounds, clouds, paper, plants, and animals as sources she draws inspiration from.

She admits to using floral patterns to balance out her dark natured illustrations, “Flowers are the natural element which I usually use in my artwork because I think my work is always filled with pensive or grey moods but when I add a flower, it just makes it livelier sometimes.”
