CLOT 10th Anniversary: CLOT Alumni Collection & CLOT x NikeLab Lunar Force 1

Remember the time Edison Chen visited Kuala Lumpur for the launch of CLOT’s store, JUICE (no affiliation with us!), in KL with business partner Kevin Poon? Yeah, us too. It’s been nearly six years since they opened here and 10 years since CLOT’s inception. To celebrate this momentous event, they’ve created a capsule collection named ‘Alumni Collection’.
The collection was inspired by basketball and the brand’s perseverance at making it through all these years. Featuring fleece designed varsity jackets, pullover sweats, sweat pants, and sweat stadium jackets, each piece is suitable to be worn on and off court — highlighting their penchant for practicality and aesthetic. Some of the pieces from the collection are given special edition patches and colours onto them — just to make them all the more distinctive.
Not content with just tops and trousers, they worked with Nike to produce a special edition of the Nike Lunar Force 1. CLOT took it up a level by adding two different colours on the swooshes; red on the right and blue on the left. This pays tribute to the traditional NBA-All Star colour scheme. Sneakerheads will find it in their hearts, or feet rather, to appreciate the classic gum shoes as well as the mesh ventilated vamp and an inner booty for added comfort.
A special gym bag is included if the shoes are purchased, and just to add that bit of college basketball authenticity to this collection, they even created a faux-yearbook that includes a personal message by founders Edison Chen and Kevin Poon.
Selected pieces from the CLOT Alumni and CLOT x NikeLab Lunar Force 1 will be available at JUICE KL on 25 April ’15. The collection retails anywhere from RM539 to RM729, depending on the item.
