This frame-by-frame kirie (paper-cutting) animation applies great care to underwater lighting effects, resulting in a heart-warming tale of a little fish finding a new home.

AYAKA NAKATA (JAPAN)
One man slips in and out of existence to the tune of a groovy jazz beat. Perception is bent as the viewer is left to decide if the man went up or down, through the floor or the ceiling.

DAIZI
PINKPIG STUDIO (CHINA)
An environmental-themed animation about a plastic bag that can’t “die”.
