A year ago, Ta-ku dropped his lovelorn EP Songs To Break Up To and evidently with its forthcoming sequel Songs to Make Up To, time does heal a broken heart — well, maybe just slightly. ‘Love Again’ features vocal work from JMSN and production expertise from Soulection’s Sango. The track is a contemplative outpouring of emotions; it’s perfectly delivered in an easy, soulful arrangement that allows the post break-up narrative to have a hopeful glint. The piano and strings can strike a few blows to some fragile hearts, but just when you think Ta-ku has sacrificed his percussive elements for the sake of making up, you’ll find yourself pummelled at the last minute.
