Locally made hair care product Mentega is a pomade to keep those strays in line. The product is made with cocoa butter mixed with peppermint – think peppermint chocolate – and essential oils that are guaranteed to be moisturising for all hair types. One jar of ‘mentega’ is priced at RM69 and is currently available at Amplitude Barbershop or you can place your orders online and it’ll be delivered to you smoothly. The name was thought of after the founders realised that its appearance and texture was similar to butter. Even when Malaysians make their own hair care products, food is still on their minds – we don’t mind though ‘cos we dig mentega. Toast and mentega. Peppermint chocolate. Alamak, lapar.
