Beirut: March Of The Zapotec/Holland (Ba Da Bing)

Beirut is actually an American band led by Zach Condon. What first started as a safe-haven for Zach to record music underground suddenly turned into a sensation when Beirut released 2006’s Gulag Orkestar and 2007’s The Flying Club Cup. Fusing traditional Eastern European and Balkan music with rock, pop, indie and electronica, this double EP walks on the wild side of world music. The first half sees Zach assisted by a 19-piece funeral band while synth pop dominates the Holland-side.
