The New Balance 530 is an icon. It’s probably one of the most popular models apart from the 574s, and the pair was killing it back in the ‘90s. Reissued this time in a fucking beautiful silhouette of suede for that luxe feel, the shoes are looking better than ever. What we like about the 530s is not just the supple pigskin suede, underplayed tonal mesh, and Encap tech soles, but rather the fact that these sneakers are subtly cool. It’s the kind of manoeuvre that people who don’t put emphasis on how they look but always dress well anyway would pull off without knowing it.

Released in navy and green, both colourways will have a drastic vibe on your outfit when worn correctly. Let’s say you’re fucking with the green pair. Put on some skinny cargos (are you not in the cargo pants game yet?!), chambray shirt, wool cardigan, and red beanie and you’d give off that I don’t have a permanent job but I am somehow involved in woodwork or some other really cool artisanal nature type shit. Then the navy pair when worn with black skinnies, white shirt, and your hair slick back gives off that I am a freelancer that does minimalistic design work or very artsy black and white photography vibe. Also my parents pay for everything.
