To the uninitiated, Crossover’s flagship store is located in Johor and if you happen to find yourself in their outlet located in City Square Mall, venture in and you’ll find Red Wing Shoes’ first shop-in-shop in Southeast Asia. Although the shop is within Crossover, once you enter the quaint space, it is like a microcosm of Red Wing Shoes — just as it was intended. As it was explained by Fumi-san, the Asia Market Development Manager, the group design team had worked with Crossover to develop the global shop-in-shop concept that will showcase the full range of footwear and accessories offered by Red Wing Heritage retailers in the region. Other than the complete Heritage collection, one can find exclusive models such as the rare Irish Setter that was only available in Japan, and also Red Wing’s boot and shoe maintenance products. The interior is decked in steel and dark oak timber showcases, accented with vintage workman tools and leather hides that the Red Wing company is known to produce.
