Avant garde rock band The Observatory will be returning to our shores as they share their documentary as a band who’s survived and thrived in the independent music scene for a long period of time. The documentary, directed by Yeo Siew Hua, was the official selection of multiple film festivals, and it depicts the band’s music-making process and their place in the context of the Singaporean music scene. In addition to the screening of their documentary, the band will perform a showcase of their latest album August is the Cruellest, which was written and recorded in Singapore and Norway.
