There’s no need to elucidate readers on whom Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz are, any dance fan worth a damn would be familiar with their names — and their supergroup New World Punx, of course. Their joint effort was a serendipitous one; billed to play at Godskitchen in the UK, rather than falling into the cliché of catty egoistic EDM superstars, the two decided to play a back-to-back set instead, which was then followed by numerous similar B2B sets elsewhere that eventually led to the official formation of the duo as New World Punx. This Friday (9 October ’15), Schulz and Corsten are set to play in Kuala Lumpur together for the very first time, with opening sets by KL’s nightlife regulars BATE, Chukiess & Whackboi, Eva T, and Hulkas.
